CPR

CPR teaches the skills and knowledge you will need in an emergency. Every Heart Center CPR course combines classroom and hands-on skills practice. Students will learn how to perform compressions, ventilations, the Heimlich maneuver, and rescue breathing. All CPR courses also include AED/Defibrillator training. Pediatric / Infant
The Pediatric/Infant CPR class gives new mothers, day care workers, teachers, and coaches the skills needed to save a child’s life. This class will focus on ventilations, compressions, relief of choking, recognition of the signs of abuse, AED use and crisis management. This class is a basic requirement for anyone who is responsible for children.

AHA BLS Healthcare Provider Course
The BLS Healthcare Provider Course is the highest level of CPR certification. It is intended to give healthcare professionals the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking. The course is intended for licensed healthcare professionals who have a duty to provide the highest level of CPR. It focuses on all age groups.
Card Type: AHA 2 year CPR HCP Certification
Please be aware that most healthcare and government organizations will only accept an AHA CPR certification.
Adult
The American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR course teaches the skills needed to save a life. Students practice ventilations, compressions, relief of choking, AED/Defibrillator use, and other emergency skills.

First Aid & Pediatric First Aid

Have you ever wondered how you would react if someone around you was injured? Would you know the proper skills and procedures that could save a life? Would you be able to use them in a chaotic situation? The Heart Center can provide you with the skills, knowledge, and confidence you will need to help someone who is sick or injured.

Adult First Aid
The Heart Center can provide you with the skills, knowledge, and confidence you will need to help someone who is sick or injured. The AHA HeartSaver FIRST Aid class is designed around classroom and hands-on practice. Course topics include bleeding, sprains, falls, allergic reactions, heat stroke, fainting, and more. This class is a must for coaches, teachers, childcare workers, and security officers.
Class Length: 2-4 hrs depending on class size
Certification Earned: AHA Heartsaver First-Aid card
Pediatric First Aid
The Heart Center can provide you with American Heart Association certification in Pediatric First Aid. This course is ideal for those who have a duty to respond to first aid emergencies, such as child care workers, teachers, camp counselors, youth groups, coaches and others.
This course is perfect for new or expecting mothers. Think of the peace of mind you will have knowing you can help your child in an emergency. This course contains information on how to manage illnesses and injuries in a child during the first few minutes until professional help arrives.
The core course content covers: first aid basics, medical emergencies, injury emergencies and environmental emergencies.
Topics covered include:
- Cuts, scrapes, sprains, broken bones, heat stroke, seizures, asthma, and more.

ACLS

ACLS teaches students the advanced skills and knowledge needed to successfully manage a team responding to medical emergencies. Class topics include EKG rhythm recognition, pharmacology, and team communication.

Through the ACLS course, providers will enhance their skills in the treatment of the adult victim of a cardiac arrest. ACLS emphasizes the importance of basic life support to patient survival; the integration of effective basic life support with advanced cardiovascular life support interventions; and the importance of effective team interaction and communication during resuscitation efforts.
A 2 year AHA ACLS Provider Card is presented upon successful course completion.
Students can join a regularly scheduled class or book a private ACLS class for their organization.

PALS

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) teaches the skills necessary to recognize, prevent, and treat pediatric emergencies.

The goal of the PALS course is to aid the pediatric healthcare provider in developing the knowledge and skills necessary to efficiently and effectively manage critically ill infants and children, resulting in improved outcomes. Skills taught include recognition and treatment of infants and children at risk for cardiopulmonary arrest; the systematic approach to pediatric assessment; effective respiratory management; defibrillation and synchronized cardioversion; intraosseous access and fluid bolus administration; and effective resuscitation team dynamics.
The Heart Center places a heavy focus on team communication and leadership in an emergency. We guarantee you will be more confident after leaving our class.
Course Length: Approximately 14 hours
